3C’s Ohio Roundtable: Serving Up Small Biz Success

Our latest roundtable event was full of Ohio spirit: the offices of Sen. Sherrod Brown, Sen. Rob Portman, Rep. Joyce Beatty, Attorney General Dave Yost, Gov. Mike DeWine, and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted joined a dozen local small businesses to discuss the importance of digital tools in building small businesses’ success.

Even the venue had Ohio flavor: 3C member Eloquii hosted the event, while catering was covered by hit Columbus restaurant The Lox.

The resulting discussion focused on what it takes to build a small business – and how digital tools help make that process easier.

Highlights included:

  • Eloquii co-founder Julie Carnevale weighing in on the valuable contributions digital platforms like Facebook and Instagram have made to the burgeoning brand’s success;
  • The Lox founder Kevin Crowley’s positive experiences with G-Suite, reviews on Google and Facebook pages, and Instagram;
  • Interest in programs offered by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) for entrepreneurs.

We are grateful to our 3C members and Ohio policymakers for their participation in our latest roundtable stop – and are looking forward to the success stories to come.
