Former Federal Official Cuts the Red Tape in Growing Her Business With Digital Tools and Platforms

As a Cuban refugee, Adis Vila knows all about hard work and achieving the American Dream. Adis was selected as a White House Fellow and became the Assistant Secretary and COO of the US Department of Agriculture. She later held posts in the private sector, both in the agriculture and telecommunications industries. With vast experience in business and various leadership roles, Adis launched her own consulting firm to assist other companies in reaching their full potential. As a lecturer, she has covered subjects as wide-ranging as cross cultural management, foreign direct investments, and diversity and inclusion.

Adis’ consultancy firm relies on access to digital platforms and online business solutions in order to run effectively. Website building services such as Wix and GoDaddy and networking platforms such as LinkedIn are crucial for her to connect with potential clients. As a board member and Independent Director at MessageComm, a messaging trade association, Adis advocated for small and medium size businesses best practices. Now Adis is a member of the Connected Commerce Council’s (3C) President’s Council to advocate for small businesses’ unique needs.

3C was created to advance small business interests and protect access to modern digital tools that enterprises utilize every day to grow their brand and operate smoothly. The President’s Council was launched to shape 3C’s priorities and provide expertise to guide 3C’s small business programming. As a multilingual and multicultural executive, Adis is exceptionally well positioned to inform the Council on industry best practices and provide perspective on the small business community.
