3C Voices Support for the AI for Mainstreet Act

WASHINGTON (Nov. 18, 2025) — 3C Executive Director Rob Retzlaff released the following statement in support of the AI for Mainstreet Act, a bipartisan bill that directs the Small Business Administration’s nationwide Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) to provide small businesses with the resources and training they need to evaluate, adopt, and use AI-powered tools.

“AI-powered tools empower small businesses to reach customers, save time, improve operational efficiencies, compete with much bigger companies — and succeed. Small-business owners have been asking for clear, practical AI guidance, and this bill helps deliver that support.

“Making AI-powered tools more accessible to small businesses means helping America’s mainstreet businesses thrive in today’s digital economy.

“We commend Congress for considering this commonsense AI legislation, and urge lawmakers to advance it.”
