Some 85% of small businesses cite digital tools as critical to their success – and attendees at 3C’s roundtable event in Tampa, FL echoed that sentiment.
Joined by staff from Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Rick Scott’s offices, small business owners and leaders from the Tampa Bay area shared stories about the role of digital tools in their respective day-to-day processes.
Participants spoke at length about the importance of digital tools, including:
- The kinds of tools small businesses need when starting a new company (websites, email providers, audience building tools, and digital ads platforms)
- The affordability and accessibility of digital tools
- The need for resources that offer expertise and guidance on how to best utilize these tools
Ultimately, our participants agreed: affordable, accessible digital tools are imperative for small business success. But, if Congress were to regulate the tech companies that small businesses rely on to manage their team, operate efficiently, market products and grow revenue, the cost and accessibility of digital tools could be impacted – and in turn, could stifle new business creation and growth.
