3C’s Last-minute Tips for Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Boost Holiday Sales

The holidays are an exciting – and challenging – time for small business owners. This year, the Connected Commerce Council (3C) is offering small business owners five tips for leveraging AI tools to save time and money while boosting holiday sales.

Use AI-integrated tools to:

1. Enhance product listings so they stand out

There’s fierce competition for holiday shoppers’ attention — use AI to enhance your product listings and win customers. Marketplaces like Shopify and Amazon offer integrated AI tools that edit product photos, provide customer service chatbots, and generate catchy product descriptions. Make your descriptions even more appealing by asking the AI tools to incorporate holiday-related language like “perfect gift” or “stocking stuffer.”  

2. Make your online ads more effective 

Advertising online is a great way to attract customers, as 59 percent of small business owners say digital ads deliver better ROI than linear TV, radio, and print ads. Get even better results with AI-powered advertising tools like Google’s Performance Max and Meta Advantage, which place ads where they reach the most interested audiences. Remember, shoppers often search using terms like “handmade gifts” or “gift sets,” so including those terms in your ads will make your products even easier to find.

3. Quickly grow your social media presence

A strong social media presence can take your business to the next level. But building a presence takes time — and there’s hardly a spare moment during the busy holiday season. Try using AI chatbots to help draft copy, create posting schedules, and brainstorm holiday-themed content, like a gift guide that features your products or services.

4. Simplify administrative work

Let AI tools take administrative tasks off your plate so you can focus your attention on wowing holiday shoppers. Whether you’re looking to hire and don’t have time to read resumes, or struggling to manage your budget, resources like QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Linkedin have integrated AI tools that can lighten your workload this holiday season.
