3C’s Austin Roundtable: Digital Tools’ Accurate Advertising Makes For #SmallBiz Success
The second of our small business roundtable events – this time at Capital Factory in Austin, Texas – was a hit for small business owners and digital tools alike.
Over a dozen small business owners and leaders from the Austin area joined staff from Senator John Cornyn’s office, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to discuss the impact of digital tools on small businesses.
The verdict? From assisting with cybersecurity measures to ensuring accurate digital advertising, digital tools are the key to success for small businesses.
Highlights from our roundtable discussion include:
- Mathias Ihlenfeld, founder of Woom Bikes (one of the fastest-growing companies in America), praised digital advertising products from Google and Facebook for assisting the company in reaching audiences internationally
- SBA and SBDC staff shared their own digital resources for small business owners
- An in-depth discussion about the unintended consequences of breaking up tech companies
Our Austin session underscored the importance of small businesses’ access to digital tools – as well as the need for Congress to consult and consider them before they regulate the companies that provide these necessary tools.
